Hello and welcome, just as you are

Hello and welcome to the first blog post of Whispered Threads, a passion project of two sensitive sisters hoping to cultivate meaning and joy in our own lives and inspire others to do the same.
To be honest, I felt quite daunted approaching this post. I'm a closet creative and putting out my work feels quite frankly terrifying. In preparation, I curated a list of possible themes to explore, thinking of what could be interesting and engaging for readers. And whilst I want to create content that will add value to people's lives, I realised this approach is not what this project is all about. This project is not about performing, it is about returning, honouring and accepting. Taking inspiration from nature and her cycles which continually remind me to be present with myself and my life in whatever season I find myself. Remaining curious and compassionate. Allowing what is.
As I write these words, my body has softened and I've let out a huge sigh of relief. Signalling that I am safe here, all of me is welcome here, just as I am. My hope is that this space can be a permission slip for those in need to relax, surrender and allow whatever is true in this moment.
I find myself currently in a season of transition and change. I have also recently moved to a more urban area which has further deepened my appreciation of nature and her teachings. I feel that in our modern world it can be easy to feel lost, overwhelmed and overstimulated. And as a result, we can become disconnected or distant from ourselves. In this space, I hope to explore rituals and practices to come back to ourselves in an accessible, playful way. My sister and I both enjoy living by nature's cycles and our own cycles as women. We draw upon celtic pagan traditions, moonology and astrology as well as our intuition. Our offerings in this space will explore these traditions and will also allow us to discover other practices from other places and people.
I am writing this in the beginning of autumn, a time of beauty, change and letting go. Over the coming months, we will be inviting you to embody these themes with us through reflection, rituals and creativity. We are looking forward to meeting life with you moment to moment.
Sending you love and light,
Ami
